Premier château, premier ferry, premier loch, première balade !

Nous ne pouvions pas quitter Linlithgow sans visiter son magnifique château où naquit Marie reine d'Ecosse (Mary Queen of Scots).
We couldn't leave Linlithgow without visiting the splendid castle where Mary Queen of Scots was born.
Le château est joliment situé au bord d'un lac. La visite est intéressante, mais il ne faut pas s'attendre à y trouver du mobilier, puisque le château est en ruines.
The palace is very well located near a lake. It is interesting to visit, but you haven't to expect much furniture as the castle was totally ruined.

La seule pièce meublée que nous avons pu voir est celle d' Any Queen of Scots... le baldaquin, elle le vaut bien !!!
The only furniture that we could see was in the room of Any Quenn of Scots... who certainly deserved such a canopy !

Nous nous sommes ensuite dirigés à l'Ouest de Glasgow, et avons longé l'estuaire la Clyde, dont j'aime beaucoup l'atmosphère.
Then we headed for the West , and drove along the Clyde estuary, the atmosphere of which I very much appreciate.
Cette atmosphère, nous l'avons retrouvée sur le ferry qui nous a fait traverser la Clyde pour atteindre la péninsule de Cowan.
We found this atmosphere again during the short ferry travel across the Clyde to reach the Cowan peninsula.

Nous avons pris une collation à Dunoon, petite ville portuaire qui ne sent pas franchement la richesse, puis avons pris de petites routes forestières pour atteindre finalement Inveraray - où nous avons choisi de passer deux nuits au bord du loch Fyne.
We had a small lunch at Dunoon - little harbour that doesn't seem particularly flourishing; then we headed for Inveraray - where we have chosen to spend two nights on the shore of Loch Fyne.
Notre B&B est une église réaffectée: très confortable - même si Annie regrette la baldaquin.
Our B&B is a decommissioned small old church and is very comfortable. Annie just regrets the canopy !!

La météo s'annonçant très mauvaise pour demain, nous avons sans tarder entrepris l'ascension du D'un N'a Cuaiche qui domine la ville et offre de superbes vues sur le loch Fyne et le curieux château des Ducs d'Argyll.
Owing to the miserable weather forecast for tomorrow, we decided to climb the Dun Na Cuiche this afternoon. The top of this hill offers stunning views from the Loch Fyne and the intriguing castle of the Dukes of Argyll.

Au restau ce soir, saumon écossais bien sûr... À la ta table à côté, il y avait une grande famille russe: celle d'Abramovitch ???
For dinner tonight , we had Scottish salmon for sure. A large Russian family was having dinner at a table next to ours. Maybe they were Abramovich' relatives ??? We didn't ask !!!
